Duties
Safely operate counterbalance forklifts to load and unload goods from trucks and storage areas
Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately
Handle materials with precision, ensuring proper stacking and storage according to safety guidelines
Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for repairs needed
Assist with shipping and receiving processes by preparing items for dispatch or receipt
Support warehouse organization by maintaining clean and orderly workspaces
Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and ensure timely deliveries
Qualifications
Proven experience operating forklift trucks, specifically counterbalance models, within a warehouse setting
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and documentation
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting
Strong materials handling skills, including heavy lifting and precise placement of goods
Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures in a logistics environment
Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately
Physical ability to lift heavy loads regularly and stand for extended periods during shifts
