Warehouse Operative

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic distribution centre team. This role involves handling inventory, operating heavy equipment, and supporting efficient warehouse operations.

Responsibilities
Manage inventory control and assist with stock replenishment using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)
Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers in accordance with OSHA safety standards
Load and unload shipments efficiently, ensuring proper handling of materials and products
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with accuracy and attention to detail
Support warehouse distribution activities including order fulfillment and shipping & receiving processes
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols
Assist with packaging and mechanical tasks as needed for manufacturing or construction-related projects
Utilize heavy lifting techniques safely for materials handling and stock movement
Experience

Prior warehouse experience is preferred, including familiarity with inventory management systems such as AS400 or other WMS platforms
Experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, or pallet jacks is highly desirable
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment operation
Mechanical knowledge or background in manufacturing or construction environments is a plus
Proven ability to perform order picking, packing, shipping & receiving tasks efficiently
Experience with inventory management, stock control, and materials handling techniques
Previous roles involving warehouse supervision or management are advantageous but not required

5:30am-13:00pm

Contract length: 12 months
