General Warehouse Operative

Job Description

This role is based in stone (ST15 area) not Wolverhampton!!

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse environment, including heavy lifting, materials handling, and ensuring efficient operations. This role is crucial in maintaining the flow of goods and supporting our shipping and receiving processes.

Duties

• Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of products as required.
• Engage in picking and packing of orders accurately to ensure timely dispatch.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading lorries.
• Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and stock movements.
• Maintain organisation of stock within the warehouse to optimise space and efficiency.
• Conduct regular checks on materials and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift.
• Familiarity with picking, packing, shipping, and receiving processes.
• Experience with materials handling equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems, particularly AS400, is a plus.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
