FT Recruitment are seeking a diligent Credit Controller to join our clients finance team. Our client is reputable across the country and over seas.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company’s credit control processes, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with clients. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent phone etiquette, and proficiency in accounting software.

Duties

  • Monitor and manage the accounts receivable ledger to ensure timely payments are received.
  • Conduct credit checks on potential clients and assess their creditworthiness.
  • Communicate effectively with clients via phone and email to follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends in payment behaviour and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the accounts payable team to reconcile discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions related to credit control.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports on outstanding debts and cash flow forecasts.
  • Support the finance department with data entry tasks as required.

Experience -The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience in financial services or a similar role, preferably within credit control or accounts receivable.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for engaging with clients professionally.
  • Familiarity with telemarketing practices is advantageous but not essential.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and data entry tasks to ensure accuracy in record keeping.

Benefits for this role:

  • 8:30am-17:00pm Monday-Thursday
  • Friday would be 9am-3pm and 1/5 Friday 8:30-5pm
  • KPI hit you will receive a 3k bonus for the year
