HGV Class 1 Driver
Job Description
FT Recruitment are looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver for our client in Ashby-De-La-Zouch.
The ideal candidate will have a valid commercial driver’s license, a good driving record, and experience with long-distance hauling.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Safely operating a lorry and delivering goods to customers in a timely manner.
- Planning of delivery routes to ensure optimum efficiency.
- Ensuring all goods to be transported are safe and secure.
- Supervision of loading and unloading of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Drive a truck in a safe and responsible manner.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips and deliveries.
- Inspect the lorry before and after each trip.
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers.
Immediate starts.
Day Shift: 9am – 5pm ( appox 8 hour shfit )
Approx 15 collections / 5 deliveries
Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 weeks
Pay: £18.18 per hour
