Job Description

FT Recruitment are currently on the lookout for a reliable and experienced 3.5 Tonne Driver to provide cover for one of our drivers for a valued client based in Wakefield.

This is a temporary position covering driver absence, ideal for someone flexible and available at short notice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving a 3.5 tonne vehicle safely and efficiently
  • Completing local and regional deliveries as required
  • Loading and unloading goods
  • Ensuring all delivery paperwork is completed accurately
  • Conducting daily vehicle checks
  • Providing a professional service to customers
  • Adhering to all road safety and company procedures

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence (Category B)
  • Previous 3.5 tonne or multi-drop delivery experience preferred
  • Good knowledge of local routes
  • Reliable, punctual and professional
  • Ability to handle manual lifting
  • No more than 6 penalty points (no DR or IN convictions)
