Service Supervisor Electrical LV MV Switchgear

Job Description

FT Recruitment are working with a well established and growing electrical engineering business who specialise in LV and MV switchgear and panel systems. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Service Supervisor to support and lead their service function based in Sheffield.

This is a hands on leadership role, ideal for a senior service engineer looking to step up or an existing supervisor who wants more responsibility and long term progression.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the day to day running of the service team, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time and to a high standard while maintaining excellent client relationships.

• Manage and support a team of service engineers across multiple sites
• Plan and coordinate service activities, bookings and schedules
• Ensure all health and safety documentation including RAMS is completed correctly
• Provide technical support and problem solving for site based activities
• Monitor performance, quality and efficiency across the service function
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of work
• Ensure service administration is completed accurately and on time
• Support the Service Manager in delivering departmental and company objectives

Requirements

• Strong background in LV and MV electrical panels and switchgear
• Previous experience in a service or maintenance environment
• Experience leading, mentoring or supervising engineers
• Hands on approach with strong fault finding and technical understanding
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable using IT systems including Microsoft Office
• Proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems and make decisions

• Salary between £45,000 and £55,000 depending on experience
