Job Description

FT Recruitment are looking for a skilled Joiner to join our client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and joinery, with the ability to fabricate and assemble various structures and components. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. As a Joiner, you will work on diverse projects, contributing to both residential and commercial builds.

Responsibilities

• the works needed are minor containment (trunking, tray, conduits), 1st fixing and 2nd fixing.
• Assemble wooden structures and fittings according to specifications and design plans.
• Fabricate components using various materials, ensuring precision and quality in every piece.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing wood.
• Perform heavy lifting as required during the construction process.
• Conduct painting and finishing tasks to enhance the appearance of completed work.
• Plumb and level installations to ensure accuracy in alignment and fit.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and masons, to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

• Proficiency in using power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders.
• Strong capability with hand tools for detailed joinery work.
• Experience in heavy lifting techniques to handle large materials safely.
• Knowledge of fabrication techniques for creating bespoke joinery pieces.
• Familiarity with painting methods for finishing woodwork effectively.
• Understanding of plumbing principles to ensure proper installation of fixtures.
